CANDIDATE PRIVACY NOTICE · VERSION 1.0

HOW WE HANDLE
YOUR APPLICATION.

This notice explains how GameInfluencer processes personal data when you apply for a role with us.

1. Controller and contact

GameInfluencer GmbH, Richard-Strauss-Str. 75, 81679 Munich, Germany, represented by Florian Pabst and Georg Broxtermann, is the controller. You can contact us at contact@gameinfluencer.com.

2. Data we process

We process the information you provide, including your name, contact details, CV, portfolio, professional history, qualifications, answers to application questions and correspondence. We also create recruitment records such as interview notes, role-related assessments, status history and the source of your application.

Please do not provide sensitive information that is not necessary for the role, such as information about health, religion, political opinions, trade-union membership, sexual orientation or family plans.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We use your data to receive and assess your application, communicate with you, arrange interviews, make a hiring decision and document the process. For roles with GameInfluencer GmbH, this processing is based primarily on Section 26(1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) in connection with the decision about entering into an employment relationship. Where applicable, processing may also be based on Article 6(1)(b), 6(1)(c) or 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We use your data for future recruitment only if you give a separate, optional consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

4. Who can access your data

Access is limited to authorised GameInfluencer personnel who need the information for the relevant recruitment, such as recruiters, the hiring manager and necessary interviewers. Our technology providers may process data on our instructions, including our hosting, authentication, database, file-storage and communication providers. We enter into data-processing agreements where required.

5. International transfers

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we use an applicable transfer mechanism and safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, as required.

6. Retention

If your application is unsuccessful, we normally delete or irreversibly anonymise the recruitment record no later than six months after the process ends, unless a longer period is required for a specific legal claim or obligation. If you separately join our talent pool, we retain your data for the period stated with that consent and ask you to renew it before keeping the data longer. If you are hired, necessary application data becomes part of your personnel record.

7. Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority, particularly in the country of your residence, place of work or the alleged infringement.

8. Required information and decisions

Information marked as required is needed to consider your application. Without it, we may be unable to process the application. GameInfluencer does not make a hiring decision based solely on automated processing. A person remains responsible for the recruitment decision.

9. Security and updates

We use access controls, encryption in transit, authentication and organisational safeguards appropriate to the risk. We may update this notice when our recruitment process or providers change; the version shown when you apply is recorded with your application.

Last updated: 17 July 2026. This notice should be reviewed whenever the vendor list, retention policy or recruitment entity changes.
